Our buyers fight every day to ensure a smooth supply of materials for our production. The main focus is on building and maintaining longterm supplier relationships. The site strategy is brought into line with central procurement strategies by the local team. In the current phase of constant change in supply chains and disruptive events, the strategic buyers provide the necessary stability. As a team member in one of the most successful plants in Siemens Energy, you can be directly involved in the pulse of innovation and, depending on your preference, contribute to digitization projects or the next generation ERP systems. 

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies
  • Implement and manage supplier contractual agreements to meet the specific needs of the business whilst ensuring service continuity and risk mitigation
  • Perform supplier evaluations and drive improvements across the supply chain
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess current and future sourcing requirements
  • Ensure Siemens Energy’s interests are represented in all competitive sourcing activities leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, delivery, service and technical requirements
  • Implements Commodity [ Conductive Materials (CTC / Flat wire / Round Copper / Raw Copper incl. Hedging), Controls (Monitoring / Fibre Optics incl. cable), Cooling (Radiators, Fans), Transformer Oil] strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
  • Contributes to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (e.g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
  • Prepares and conducts negotiations to obtain highest feasible savings.
  • Executes Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification). Establishes proper sourcing and Procurement processes and controls all Procurement resources and activities in the project.
  • Analyzes scope of supply and contract agreements, carries out risk analyses and introduces negotiation recommendations. Supports project calculation with reliable material cost data. Execute standard, specialized, & complex activities within Procurement.
What You Bring
  • 3-5 years of experience within supply chain, experience from the oil and gas industry is an advantage. Having excellent German & English communication skill.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP proficiency; Advanced Excel abilities (pivot tables, V-Lookup, macros, charting/graphing)
  • Profound experience managing global vendors; customer-focus, both internal & external, and a collaborative team player Adaptable and seasoned cross functional communicator, with sharp critical thinking skills Skilled Influencer, possessing strong diplomacy, teamwork, & interpersonal skills and savvy
  • Ability to assess priorities, demonstrate flexibility and understand sense of urgency
