  • Work as part of a passionate, focused group to develop new technologies and solutions for a changing world energy market

Your Impact

  • Perform engineering evaluation of new compressor design concepts to resolve testing requirements.

  • Provide vital engineering to support design and manufacture of test vehicles.

  • Mechanical modeling of components and assemblies using Siemens NX CAD.

  • Provide vital engineering to support design and manufacture of testing configurations, (piping, LO systems, gas seal systems, data acquisition systems, etc.).

  • Active participation in test setup and test operation

  • Evaluation / reduction of test results, communication of results to broader project design team(s).

What you bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering field and 8+ years of demonstrated ability in turbomachinery mechanical design, analysis & testing preferred; or 

  • Associates Degree and 10+ years of demonstrated ability in turbomachinery mechanical design, analysis & testing.

  • Must have foundational knowledge and experience in applying machinery design, rotor dynamics, strength-of-materials / proven mechanics, materials-of-construction selection, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, fluid dynamics.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform detailed engineering calculations.

  • Experience with turbomachinery testing, pressure, temperature, and vibration sensing. instrumentation, test data evaluation.

  • Experience with Siemens NX CAD or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • As a federal contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
