Electrification Automation Digitization Projects is looking for a Project Manager to support our varied project portfolio, with a focus on Service, Marine, Fiber, Offshore and Onshore projects.

The Project Manager (PM) is a conscientious self-starter who will have the primary responsibility for the commercial and technical implementation of the project. The EAD’s goal is to complete projects with a satisfied customer, on-time and on-budget. The PM will manage a team of various technical and industry engineers to implement the project. This will include development and oversight of scheduling, budgets, risk management, change management, and resource management activities. The PM is encouraged to cultivate strong working client relationships as well as internal team building.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • The PM represents the company as the main point of contact for the customer, subcontractors and site trades. This includes communicating in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Understand the contract deliverables and develop vital schedule and plans for delivering them.
  • Responsible for the project financials, including project billing schedule.
  • Maintain project Change Orders and Request for Information Logs.
  • Identify potential problems and proactively address.
  • Develop cohesive and effective project teams (typically 4 - 8 people) while working in a matrix organization. May have 2-5 projects running simultaneously.

What You Bring

  • BS in engineering (Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering preferred) required
  • PMI PMP Certification preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in relevant role required. Those with more experience may be considered for more senior level.
  • Minimum one year as a Project Manager in a Service, Marine, Fiber Oil & Gas industrial environment (ex. power infrastructure, drives/motors, process automation).
  • Industry knowledge in Marine and Oil & Gas Pipeline Applications, and Process Related Industries and Applications, Off-shore required with a preference for Marine focus.
  • Siemens internal candidates are to be PM@Siemens or related certifications
  • Travel approximately 25% as the need arises for projects.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Project and capable of understating and discussing project schedules.
  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experience leading and reporting the financials of entire project
  • Experience managing customer relationships including communicating all project progress, including issues like claims or delays, with the ability to problem solve.
  • Have a validated understanding of construction law.
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering projects, specifically in the areas of power distribution and protection, control systems, rotating equipment controls, substations and electrical e-house designs.
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drives (AC & DC) and their applications preferred
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
