A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Data Analyst in the global Real Estate Performance Excellence team, you will be a valued resource and subject matter expert, helping us with our transformation journey to develop a best-in-class corporate real estate analytics platform supporting Siemens Energy’s mission to become a truly data driven company.

In this role you will reshape how the real estate team works with data, automate reporting for improved productivity and visualize KPIs to measure our performance in key focus areas. You will act as an ambassador for data analytics topics, interfacing with our central IT department and Enterprise Data and Advanced Analytics (EDAA) team, sharing best practices and delivering awareness and training in the use of data analytics tools as well as promoting the importance of data quality and ownership.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Collaborate with RE PE team and key stakeholders to develop the RE analytics platform, including automated global dashboards that connect RE’s portfolio and performance to company objectives
  • Support development of data warehouse and develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines to process and load data into the data warehouse using tools such as SAP Business Objects and Alteryx.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Tableau and other approved analytic and visualization tools
  • Monitor and audit Data Quality and propose source system improvements to improve the quality of data being captured and available within the reports
  • Gather and manage stakeholder requirements, ensuring they are fully understood and seek regular feedback to ensure that they can obtain the required insights from the solutions provided.
  • Develop and deliver training and provide support that increases the skills and confidence in the use of the available data analytics tools within Real Estate
  • Connect into the central Enterprise Data & Advanced Analytics team, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy data analytics strategies (infrastructure, processes, and best practices)
  • Be an ambassador for Data Analytics, promoting best practices and actively seek ways to improve the team’s productivity

 

What You Bring 

  • Professional experience of 3+ years within a data management or data analytics role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or technology-related field. Project management / agile certifications / Business Intelligence certifications a plus
  • Advanced numerical and analytical skills (extraordinary Excel), combined with experience of developing and managing complex ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) pipelines.
  • Good working knowledge (and willingness to rapidly expand skills) of Tableau and Alteryx or equivalent data management tools, as well as a working knowledge of SQL language.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools (Excel including VBA, SharePoint online, Power Automate, Power Apps). Experience of using SAP Data services would be beneficial.
  • Ability to train and coach others in the use of data analytics tools, increasing their confidence and capability to develop self service solutions.
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills and ability to develop executive-level presentations, reports, and communications.
  • An interest in Data Literacy and Data Quality topics, with the ability to articulate suitable solutions to resolve data quality issues that affect decision making.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a global, virtual team and manage competing priorities in a structured and methodical manner.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% internationally
  • As a federal contractor, Siemens Energy continues to monitor federal and state legal guidelines regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
