A Snapshot of Your Day 

In the morning you joined a sprint review in your role as product owner to check the results of the latest SCM control tower project sprint. This was followed by a brief workshop with logistics operators to review their users’ stories for a query request to track logistics costs. You spend your lunch with a colleague from central data and analytics for an informal chat about your mutual BI projects. The afternoon starts with a virtual conference where you are giving an update about your project activities to the logistics management. Later in the afternoon you can finally focus on your planning activities for the upcoming integration project to include external track and trace data into the logistics data-lake.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Devising, planning and implementation of complex cross-business and interdisciplinary digitalization projects, with the aim of establishing highest quality standards, processes, performance and digitalization technologies, resource optimization and reduction of process costs and tool expenditure 
  • Management of interdisciplinary, international, cross-functional and cross-business areas project teams 
  • Acting as the main contact to anticipate and transfer business needs, requirements, and user-stories into a business intelligence environment, aligned with the overall corporate data strategy and IT eco-system
  • Mapping of complex E2E business processes – heavily focusing on supply chain subprocesses, e.g., inbound and outbound operations, warehousing, inventory management, shipping, as well as transportation planning and execution activities 
  • Identification and recommendation of optimization potential along the entire supply chain, with a focus on the utilization of data driven technology processes driving the digital transformation and integration.
  • Preparing, devising and moderation of technical specifications, including for requirement specifications, as well as negotiation and conclusion of agreements with our partners
  • Planning and design of individual and standardized methods for future-oriented structures and systems in coordination with stakeholders 
  • Participation in devising the digital IT architecture solutions and integration concepts by evaluating new technologies and systems/applications and transferring them to the operational corporate context
  • Definition, development and implementation of communication strategies within individual projects
  • Key contact with customers and service providers, both internally and externally 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degrees in industrial engineering, logistics or business informatics and more than 5 years of professional experience or alternatively, skills and knowledge acquired through completed vocational training with qualified further training and a particularly in-depth, additional specialist qualification
  • Fluent English 
  • Project management and experience in complex, interdisciplinary digital projects in volatile environments, covering waterfall, agile and hybrid projects
  • Strong competence in the analysis and design of processes, applications and work-structures as well as business analytics methods 
  • Extensive experience in supply chain management and logistics (inbound and outbound operations, warehousing, inventory management, shipping, as well as transportation planning and execution activities)
  • Ability to work independently and lead international cross-company project-teams
  • Wide-ranging knowledge of state-of-the-art digital technologies their combination with processes to achieve efficient digital solutions, to drive the digital transformation
  • Flexible and open-minded way of working to follow the holistic digitalization strategy approach with a clear focus on customer orientation 
  • High level of social competence and willingness to cooperate, with analytical, strategic, goal-focused, visionary, communicative, decision-making, assertive, and pragmatic skills.
  • Ability to encourage and enable employees to embrace the digital transformation
