A Snapshot of your Day

  • You will help chart a new course for the DATUM product line manufactured in a new location.
  • Expand on both technical and manufacturing knowledge.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple functions such as planning, supply chain, engineering, quality, warranty and safety.
  • You will have many networks and tremendous influence in the organization.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:

  • Act as technical point of contact for Duisburg factory for any DATUM compressor design and manufacturing questions, utilizing engineering tools and project-specific designs and documentation.
  • Provide rework guidance on non-conformances.
  • Serve as liaison between DATUM engineering, drafting, and Duisburg manufacturing for manufacturing improvements or for cost reduction initiatives.
  • Be prepared for temporary business trips to Duisburg factory for on-site support.

What You Bring

  • BS in Engineering required with 3+years of experience or Associates in technical field with a minimum of 10 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level.
  • In-depth understanding of turbomachinery design processes and previous engineering experience with turbocompressor products.
  • Technical engineering resource for turbocompressor design and manufacturing questions on shop floor.
  • Assist strategic supply chain and supplier quality in qualification process, supplier quality, and design improvements.
  • Visit supplier sites (in person or remote), both internal and external, to assist in issue resolution, cost reduction and new technology development.

This job may be based in Olean, NY.  Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.   Details regarding our benefits can be found here:  The base salary range for this position in Olean, New York may be $68,600 to $92,800.
