To support the strategic ramp-up of the Digital Grid South East Europe region and ensure business continuity, this permanent role within the business regional unit focuses on driving the commercial success of our bidding activities. This addition is key to meeting our growing regional budget and securing profitable business opportunities. To address these business aims, this role focuses on commercial bid preparation, contract negotiation, and financial risk mitigation. These core areas ensure that all proposals are commercially viable, fully compliant, and structured to maximize profitability. Given the focus on commercial bid and contract management, the ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, experience in commercial project or bid management, and familiarity with regional contract standards. A background in business administration or finance within the energy or technology sector is highly preferred.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead the commercial preparation of bids and proposals for the Digital Grid business in the SEE region, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy guidelines.
• Coordinate with technical bid managers, sales, and legal departments to structure competitive and compliant commercial offers.
• Perform cost calculations, pricing strategies, and cash flow analysis for incoming tenders and RFPs.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, financial, and legal risks during the bidding phase.
• Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions, including payment terms, guarantees, and liability clauses, in collaboration with legal experts.
• Ensure compliance with internal authorization processes and external regulatory requirements.
• Monitor bid budgets, analyze project calculation deviations, and prepare commercial release documentation for management approval.
• Maintain accurate bid documentation, tracking tools, and historical data to support continuous improvement and audit readiness.
• Support regional financial forecasting and reporting related to order intake and pipeline opportunities.
• Drive timely offer approvals by coordinating all required inputs, including calculations, business model validation, contract review, tax compliance checks, and risk analysis.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial bid management, contract management, or commercial project management, preferably in the energy or technology sector
• Financial risk assessment and mitigation
• Build robust cost calculations
• Contract review and terms negotiation
• Knowledge of commercial law and international trade terms (Incoterms)
• Guarantee and surety management
• Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
• Analytical thinking and detail orientation
• Fluent in English, Croatian and other languages are an advantage
