Job Responsibilities:

The following are the major job duties, but this job description does not preclude the performance of other duties by the incumbent.  Unless otherwise stated, each employee is responsible for their own work as well as the responsibility of safety for themselves and their co-workers.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

·         Grit blast components including prep for coating and final inspection

o   Operate shot peen equipment

o   Transport components to various workstations within the department and facility

o   Assist in performing preventative maintenance of blasting equipment including maintaining records and logs

o   Assist in maintaining a clean work environment

o   Maintain and replenish department consumable materials such as blasting and peening media used for both blasting and cleaning

o   Retrieve and return tools and fixtures that are used for processing components

o   Able to perform and use JHAs related to blasting

o   Be able to get certified and maintain forklift license.

o   Perform operations such as Tap and shake, Water Flush, as well as others to push jobs through to final inspection.

o   Assist when needed in braze, hole opening for EDM, blend and other operations.

Experience/Prerequisites:

Entry level position - requires experience working in an industrial environment. 

Competency Expectations:

Three (3) Months

Standard – May be subject to extreme heat and dust conditions

Wage Level II

In addition to wage level I:

Experience/Prerequisites:

o   Capability to train other employees on specific skills.

o   Perform preventive maintenance (daily/weekly/monthly)
