Your profile

The primary job requirements of this position are to set up and operate the CNC (Computer Numeric Control) mill/turn machining center in various modes on a variety of parts and components.


  • 7+ years of CNC mill/turn machining experience
  • Obtain crane B and fork truck licenses
  • Ability to: use shop math, follow complex drawings, perform complex metrology

Your responsibilities

  • Perform multiple machining operations on horizonal turn/mill machining center (840D controls)
  • Set up and operate various multifunction machines by installing components, tooling, programs and adjusting machine settings
  • Perform various turning, drilling, and milling operations on a variety of components
  • Cross training on other CNC machine tools
  • Load/unload components from machines and assist crane operations
  • Required to lift / move 50lbs of materials
  • Embrace Safety & Quality Culture
  • Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and determines necessary tools to perform required machining operations
  • Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator
  • Follows Siemens Energy established procedures to operate machinery and equipment
  • General mental and visual attention is necessary when performing complex process operations to hold the close tolerances per drawing specifications

·         Amend/modify CNC programs as needed and able to write MDI programs

·         Abide by all company policies regarding, safety, quality, housekeeping and performance expectations

  • Transfer within Charlotte campus to gain experience on Generator and Gas Turbine components
