We’re looking for an Business Development Manager who will be responsible for Identifying, pursuing and positioning Siemens Energy in the market of Grid Stabilization within GB&I. The will be taking responsibility for the sale up to EPC signature as Sales Lead or part of the sales team.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Plans sales volumes and potential of target customers and markets (GB&I).
  • Provides information via Salesforce and identified business processes for forecasts and planning
  • Responsible for customer relationship management to contract execution and beyond in cooperation with other involved professionals and management. 
  • Prepares customer contacts, builds and maintains a customer focused network in order to develop both customer and industry / vertical market expertise systematically (international)
  • Build and maintains a customer focused network in conjunction with relevant regional Siemens Energy organisations in order to develop market understanding and develop customer relationships.
  • Assists in preparation of proposals and negotiation of projects in cooperation with other involved professionals and management. 
  • Analyses and evaluates markets and needs of potential or existing customers.
  • Investigates and evaluates specific business opportunities for HVDC interconnectors by analysing mid-term investments of customers in this industry / vertical market.
  • Develops understanding of current and required competence of Siemens regional organisations and develops appropriate development strategy in conjunction with the region.
  • Analyses and evaluates potential strategic partners / suppliers for a project and / or region.
  • Is responsible for ensuring competency assessment of strategic partners and regions and managing relationship.
  • Supports customers directly in cost/benefits analyses and calculations in order to demonstrate specific advantages of using Siemens Energy solutions.
  • Supports customers directly in cost/benefits analyses of UK content and UK social economic impact assessments.
  • Develops and gains stakeholder agreement on bid and execution strategy for assigned projects.
  • Develops and agrees competitor profiles including mitigation strategy.
  • Develops and agrees with key stakeholders’ commercial execution model(s) depending on scope of works to be executed and international considerations (e.g. cross border tax/Siemens Energy regulations).
  • Develops project execution model, including required strategic partnerships, which allow competitive execution of full contract scope.
  • Coordinates with and assists in coordinating a market vertical solution / product development strategy via the PPM and PLM organisations and other key stakeholders.
  • May act as a point of contact in commercial matters.
  • Completes sales and revenue related key reporting.
  • Contributes to the development of an After Sales Service that is focused on customers' needs in conjunction with the Energy Management Customer Services organisation.

  • Broad understanding of UK Renewable Energy market within the scope of this role and drivers
