A Snapshot of Your Day

The mission of our Layout Engineer for Heat Decarbonization Projects is to handle all layout/ general arrangement aspects in bid and execution projects. The Layout Engineer prepares general arrangement/ layout drawings regarding scope and technical interfaces, integration of Siemens Energy’s and suppliers’ components, optimizing the entire plant concept.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will need to drive innovation and new designs based on the technical background, within projects in the fields of industrial heat pumps, waste heat recovery or various new technologies.
  • Review and commenting of Customer Request for Quotation
  • Evaluation of EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) contract (Customer specification, etc.)
  • Develop and optimize plant arrangement concepts and all related drawings in 2D or 3D
  • Evaluation and coordination of concept/ laydown areas and noise concept
  • Preparation of technical specifications and inquiry documentation
  • Coordination and optimization of plant interfaces with internal and external partners
  • Evaluate guidance from other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, I&C, civil)
  • Participation in engineering and optimization of interfaces and scope of works
  • Review of internal and external engineering documents

What You Bring

  • Successfully completed college degree, preferably within the field of mechanical or process engineering or equivalent combination of education in the field
  • 2-6 years of experience in a project environment e.g., as member of an execution team in the role of project engineer in the power generation or Oil & Gas market
  • Knowledge about Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology, related software & tools, data exchange strategies and BIM processes
  • Excellent skills in 2D design tools such as AutoCAD, skills in 3D design tools such as (PDMS,E3D) are advantageous
  • Willingness for business travels with international contacts
  • Work experience in a foreign country or exposure to international business is advantageous.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.

Within our Gas Services Organization we work on customized solutions to support our Customer’s to Decarbonize their Plants. Focus areas are Heat Decarbonization and Utilization of Waste Heat to increase the Plant efficiency and safe CO2 emissions.
