A Snapshot of Your Day
We are looking for a strong, experienced professional eager to join us in the role of IT service owner for HCM - HR Admin systems (Workday). As Senior IT Service Owner, you are responsible for managing the operations of IT services related to HR Admin / Workday, as part of the respective IT landscape for HR.
In addition, you will also assume partial or full responsibility as service owner for other applications of the global IT blueprint for HR. Moreover, the responsibilities of the role also include participation in the implementation project for Workday.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Your main responsibility will cover the following areas:
- Monitoring and reviewing the solution design proposed by our providers and deciding how it best fits with the company strategy and IT HRS landscape;
- Overseeing the configuration of the Workday system, in alignment with the business process requirements (including mapping workflows, creating data structures, and defining security protocols across the system);
- Serving as a technical expert on solutions design, development, and implementation requirements to address business needs;
- Analyzes the functionality and constraints of recommended solution/changes across multiple systems/platforms/applications;
- Ensures compatibility, interoperability, stability, and usability of the overall solution architecture.
- Overseeing the integration of the Workday system with other third-party applications and systems to ensure a seamless flow of data and synchronization across the systems
- Providing architectural guidance to ensure the system is built in a scalable, secure, and efficient manner, and the foundation is strong enough to withstand future change
- Working closely with our providers and the vendor in evaluating Workday new releases updates, new features, executing system upgrades, testing plans and assessing the impact of changes on existing configurations and integrations
- Overseeing the implementation of an optimization strategy to enhance system speed and efficiency
- Ensuring technical documentation is available and updated, including system configurations, integration mappings, and customization guidelines etc
You will also contribute to the global implementation and roll-out project for Workday where your responsibilities will include:
- Performing cost–benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of commercial off-the-shelf or already developed components.
- Close collaboration with the project manager, external providers, vendors, service owner, product owner, business and other IT departments
What You Bring
- Mandatory skills:
- University degree or comparable qualification
- Deep knowledge of Workday system architecture
- Multi-year experience in operating and managing mid- to large IT-services for business applications, ideally in global settings, and for cloud and SaaS applications
- Multi-year experience with IT projects
- Highly customer focused attitude to work with great emphasis on positive outcomes - "Delighting the customer"
- Communicate fluently in English language
- Nice to have:
- Ideally good knowledge of IT compliance & IT assurance (ITGC) and ITIL practices
- Knowledge of HR admin functional processes
- Intercultural & global exposure
- Experience communicating at all levels of management and managing conflict and change
