A Snapshot of Your Day
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, optimize lead time and ensure the highest quality of goods and services; collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and innovation

How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and procurement strategies.
2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate market trends, and assess supplier capabilities.
3. Lead supplier development process until frame agreement is concluded; involve supplier into sourcing pool and keep monitoring performance and risk management.
4. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for Siemens Energy.
5. Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluation, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering and production, to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
7. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
8. Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering projects to achieve savings targets.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation in procurement processes.



What You Bring  
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Strategic Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the energy or manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Knowledge of supply chain management principles, sourcing strategies, and market analysis.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Good command of English, German is a plus.
