Siemens Energy has an exciting opportunity for an SGT-A45/A65 Sales Development Manager to join the Aero Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) business in Warwick. Your new role will focus on Sales Development for the SGT-A45/A65 and support AGT Sales Support for order intake to meet Mods and Ups targets, particularly focusing on major high value / complex opportunities where the regional entities require additional expert sales support to scope. You will be required to develop the sales strategy for key SGT- A45/A65 products, develop value proposition, pricing strategy for products & services and support launch of new products.

In this new role you may also be requested to join additional key projects to represent AGT Sales Development as well as engage in Business Improvement initiatives.

You will join the AGT team of Sales Development Managers working collaboratively with AGT Mkt & Sales Commercialisation Team, AGT Sales Support, A45/A65 Portfolio Team and wider functional teams within Aero Gas Turbines business. You need to engage with the customer along with Regional Sales when required to support successful orders.

This is a permanent, office-based role in Warwick, UK however we do have a flexible working policy and there will be opportunity for you to also work remote from the office base. This role will involve a certain amount of travel as and when required.

What part will you play?

·         Build close working relationship with sales teams (central and regional), analyse AGT Global sales pipeline for Mods and Ups to understand global market trends, customer spending and segmentation of service offering.

·         Develop complex SGT- A45/A65 projects and provide expert technical & commercial advice and support to the regional sales teams during pre-sale discussions.

·         Work with the Regional Marketing Executive to validate AGT order intake forecasts and establish global forecasts.  

·         Work closely with SGT- A45/A65 key stakeholders to align and co-ordinate opportunities within the AGT product strategy.

·         Develop sales strategies, pricing guidelines for SGT- A45/A65 for Mods and Ups product and service offerings.

·         Co-ordination of the A65 Portfolio and Mkt & Sales periodic monthly/quarterly/annual meetings including owning the global view of A45/A65 opportunity pipeline/analytics.

·         Develops and present indicative proposals for SGT- A45/A65 mods and ups opportunities. Guide teams to develop plans that are feasible within cost, time, and environmental constraints. Resolves technical & commercial problems to meet customer needs to secure order entry.

·         Work closely with commercialisation manager to develop and launch new SGT- A45/A65 products into the market, identify launch customer, assist Commercial Marketing Manager with marketing campaigns, marketing material & value proposition for the product and service offering.

·         Provide training to regional sales teams globally on existing AGT products/services, new products, business operations, capabilities and operating model etc…

·         Support T&I team by providing feedback from the market in development on new product and services as per customer requirements identified.

What you need

  • product to help develop opportunities and project strategies as well as be able to train others.
  • 8 years’ experience in Oil and Gas and preferably Turbomachinery industry with minimum 3 years in Sales or Sales support / marketing function.
  • Good presentation skills and experience in interface with senior management for strategy approvals.
  • Good analytical skills and expertise in Excel, PowerPoint and other Sales software (CRM/ Sales Force)
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures.

·         A collaborative and pro-active nature

Desired but not mandatory:

·         An MBA or equivalent graduate degree

·         Experience in product marketing strategy

·         Experience in the use and application of continuous improvement methodologies.

·         Familiar with aero gas turbine products and Oil & Gas market
