A Snapshot of Your Day 

Your day will start with a check-in among your colleagues to discuss your experiences made in the projects and to talk about new technical approaches. Subsequent you define your work agenda and prepare for upcoming technical customer negotiations in the afternoon for new High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Wind Park connections in the North Sea. You will discuss Electrical Systems design topics and concepts concept with your interdisciplinary Project team and explain the technical implementation based on your customer requirements. The afternoon starts with a customer call to present solutions. From the discussion arise further requirements. Because the customer is one of the most important you will directly come together with your Project Team to define the next steps within the HVDC design process.  

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • The engineering Project management of Electrical system’s in HVDC transmission tender and execution projects. 
  • To be the responsible lead of the electrical execution team of engineers in the field of Auxiliary Power supply, Electrical Building and Cabling systems.
  • The active management of Project Budgets, Time schedule, Manpower and the subsequent reporting to the Project management.
  • Deep technical interaction with the whole HVDC Engineering Execution Team and driving the Information exchange, Processes, design reviews and performing quality assurance steps.
  • Provision and clarification of technical solutions to Customer requirements and the coordination with our internal and external partners. 
  • Sub supplier evaluation, placing and controlling.
What You Bring
  • University or technician degree in electrical engineering or related field 
  • Professional experience (3+ years) in engineering of Turnkey Project execution of Low and Medium Voltage distribution systems 
  • German and English at professional working proficiency level 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer, supplier and site clarifications 
  • Initiative and proactive collaboration, creativity, quality and result orientation, intercultural awareness as well as the ability to work in cross functions
  • Affinity to drive new ways of data driven engineering

About the Team

The Electrical Systems Team is part of the HVDC Plant infrastructure Department responsible for Auxiliary Power supply, electrical Building services, Automation systems and the overall LV/MV cabling system as well. The Team is formed by international enthusiastic future minded engineers, proud to be part of the HVDC engineering and supporting the Energy transition needed for our future.
