A Snapshot of Your Day
Our Service Center Mechanics are responsible for the disassembly, inspection, recording condition, repairs, reassembly and dynamic balance of Siemens Energy and Non OEM centrifugal compressor rotors. You'll take on the responsibility to ensure that all projects are completed safely, correct and meet or beat customer expectations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Work safely, responsible for following of all safe work practices, Siemens Energy safety and quality policies and procedures during normal daily operations.
- Use basic problem-solving skills in terms of gathering facts, analyzing the cause and selecting the best most accurate solution for our clients.
- Communication effectively and provide problem-solving skills
- Write the inspection of Rotating Machinery including up parts list and recommendations for repair proposals.
- Tear down and inspect rotating machinery
What You Bring
- You must be available to work overtime. Certain times of the year business picks up and does offer more overtime pay.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- The ability to read blueprints is required
- Knowledge of the accurate collection and recording of technical inspection data
- Compressor disassembly, cleaning, and inspection including the accurate collection and recording of technical inspection data for equipment repair proposals.
- Proficient use of common Precision Measuring Instruments (micrometers, gauges, and etc.)
- Knowledge of blueprint/blueprint reading, and general tolerances is required, must be able to solve assembly and set-up problems with minimal technical supervision.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn and be a team player
- The ability to routinely lift at least 25 pounds, as required to perform essential functions of the position.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically, as required to perform essential functions of the position.
- Welding background is preferred, but not required
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
