A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is looking for a Junior test engineer to join our team in the SVEPPI laboratory that is a center of competence which works following the standard ISO IEC 17025 and it is accredited by National body Accreditation. You will be trained in the use of instruments dedicated to laboratory tests and calibration with in-depth study of the statistical aspects relating to the measurement. The nature of the tests is electromechanical with particular attention to the electrical aspect of high voltage and power. A particular line of evolution will be related to the aspects of monitoring and remote control thanks to the new technologies.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Perform tests in according to international standards on electrical components for medium and high voltage electric lines, such as short circuit, dielectric, thermal and mechanical tests
• Run successfully measuring instruments and testing tools
• Prepare test reports and technical procedures
• Project and develop new test methods, also by using automation software (PLC, LabVIEW)
• Improve existing test methods
• Analyze the test methods by understanding the international standard

What you bring

• A Bachelor's degree in electrical, energy or mechatronics engineering, alternatively an high school diploma in technical field (electric or electro-technical is the best);
• You have less than 30 years of age, in accordance with the Italian apprenticeship contract;
• Good ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Proficient in English language (spoken and written); Fluency in Italian is needed for the role
• Strong focus on achieving goals, initiative, autonomy and willingness to work in team.
