A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Gas Turbine Specialist, you’ll leverage your expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering to perform critical maintenance and operations on gas turbines. You’ll work on significant projects, such as major inspections and component replacements, directly contributing to the reliability and efficiency of energy solutions, which aligns with Siemens Energy’s mission.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Execute both planned and unplanned maintenance activities to ensure turbine reliability.
- Lead or assist in major inspections, including CI, HGPI, and MI, to maintain operational excellence.
- Replace or repair critical components like blades, vanes, bearings, and fuel systems to enhance performance.
- Support the alignment and balancing of rotating equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Uphold safety and compliance by ensuring all maintenance activities meet HSE standards.
- Provide team leadership during outages or field service missions, fostering a collaborative environment.
What You Bring
- Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of experience in gas turbine maintenance and operations, with a strong grasp of turbine thermodynamics.
- Proficiency in interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and OEM documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, essential for team coordination and client interactions.
- Willingness to undertake rotational field assignments and travel for shutdowns, emergency calls, and commissioning activities.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
