The Pittsburgh Service Center (PSC) Tool Depot Operations Manufacturing Professional position (also known informally as a “Tool Engineer” role) is required to provide effective interfacing and direct support to internal customers to meet field service tooling demands and other specialty needs. This dynamic and fast-paced role is responsible to receive, track, and complete TCTP tooling orders and specialty tooling requests for internal Siemens Product Lines. Effectively, tool depot “Tool Engineers” own the order fulfillment side of the tool depot operations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Utilize Siemens TCTP (Tool Control and Tracking Program) to actively manage emergency, standard tooling and specialty item needs as required by TGSS Project Engineers, Districts, and other Siemens Energy, Inc. customers
  • Provide back office as well as “on the shop floor” support to ensure that tool orders are being satisfied with safety, quality, and schedule to meet the needs of internal customers
  • Interact heavily with “job puller” technicians on the shop floor and assign point contact roles for specific jobs where needed
  • Communicate proactively and frequently with internal Product Line and other customer to notify job progress, exceptions management, shortages, and any pertinent information required or requested
  • Support capital and development purchases interaction with the depot Operations Managers and Product Lines where needed
  • Utilize the TCTP system for required administrative support such as new tool entries, catalog alterations, pricing reviews and adjustments, inventory controls, etc.
What You Bring 

BS/BA in related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
