Our Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing Facility in Hull is advertising for Production Operatives to work within our Casting Department.

Coating Operatives carry out the final preparation and painting of the blades. They use their skills to ensure a sound coating surface is created and then coat the blade to the correct specifications.

This is one of the more physically demanding roles suited to those who are resilient and possess endurance, long periods will be spent in full PPE including paper suits and air fed masks. High level of attention to detail is required to spot any potential faults.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Carry out blade painting using specialist machinery.
  • Carry out sanding of blade exactly as specified during training and on the job coaching
  • Adherence to all health and safety requirements for yourself and those around you.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to use the correct materials, tools, and equipment
  • Plan and lay out work, following strict engineering specifications and quality standards
  • Carry out sanding and filling of the blade as exactly specified in initial training and ongoing training
